In order for returning artists to confirm participation or for new artists to apply to participate EVERYONE must be a current member of the Fargo Moorhead Visual Artists. This year I have an online membership list to check against and will be strictly adhering to this requirement! If you are not sure if you are a current member, you can check at http://www.fmva.us/about/members/
To become a new member or renew your membership, please visit Fargostuff.com. Click on the “event tickets” button and scroll down to FMVA membership. Follow the instructions you find there. More membership information is available on the FMVA website at http://www.fmva.us/about/membership/
I deal with a very large amount of material in order to develop the brochure, PLEASE don’t send partial applications. I will send a confirmation e-mail when I have received your application.

PROSPECTUS – Studio Crawl 2010 – October 2 & 3
The 2010 FM Visual Artists Studio Crawl is open to FMVA members who are working artists and have permanent studios that can be open to the public for the entire Studio Crawl event.
- This is an educational event. Artists are required to demonstrate or discuss their work and must be in their studios for the entire event.
- Artists must commit to providing a piece of work for the Plains Art Museum preview exhibit. (Dates coming soon. approx. Aug 15-Oct 10)
- Studios must be in the FM area (approximately 30 mile radius).
- Artists must have a State Retail Tax ID# in the state where the studio exists (MN and ND tax application information is provided below).
- Everyone must comply with entry deadlines.
- All correspondence between the committee and artists is electronic. Artists who do not have e-mail should indicate a cyber-buddy on the application form where correspondence will be directed.
- Application is free. Participation fee is $100.00.
- Accepted artists will be provided with 100 promotional brochures.
2010 FMVA Studio Crawl Calendar and Participation Requirements
January 24
FMVA member artists will receive an e-mail notifying them of the Studio Crawl Calendar and Participation Requirements (printed below).
February 5
Returning artists must confirm their intent to participate in the 2010 Crawl by emailing mulciberglass@hotmail.com. There are no exceptions to this deadline. Artists will receive e-mail notices when their confirmations are received.
February 13
New artists must submit the following application items to mulciberglass@hotmail.com for the juror to evaluate. There are no exceptions to this deadline. Artists will receive e-mail notices when their application items are received.
-Your name, mailing address (for mail), studio name, Studio address, Email address, URL, Phone #s (label as cell, studio, home, office).
-Selection of electronic images including at least 2 images of your studio and 5 images of your work.
February 19
New artist’s applications are juried and they are notified of their status.
March 12
All Artists
All materials for the promotional brochure, listed below, are due! Artists will receive an e-mail notification when their materials have been received. Please Do Not send partial applications.
- Your name, mailing address (for mail), studio name, Studio address (for brochure), Email address, URL, Phone #s (label as cell, studio, home, office).
- Two high resolution, electronic file images named “#1your last name” and “#2yourlastname”. #1 will be used in the brochure and should be a photo of your work. #2 is for promotional use and should be an image of you WORKING in your studio. It will be used at the discretion of the Crawl committee/publisher.
- A document indicating your photos’ title or caption, date of work, medium, and size.
- Statement for brochure in first person (“I” “Me” “My”) of 10-50 words. Images and statement from last year’s brochure will not be accepted!
- State Retail Tax ID#. (See end of E-mail for application information.)
